Underlines magazine celebrates 25th birthday

July 21st is a red letter day in the diary this year – marking the 25th anniversary of the UK’s leading trade magazine for intimate apparel, Underlines.

While Underlines’ founders Pamela Scott and Sue Hall celebrate their silver anniversary, Jane Garner will also be celebrating 10 years writing for the magazine (www.underlinesmagazine.com).

The birthday party will be staged during this summer’s London Swimwear Show and anyone who knows the Underlines team will appreciate it’s going to be a fun evening!

Underlines was launched in 1989 and became a founder member of Network Dessous Group which today encompasses 10 international titles covering lingerie, swim and beachwear, nightwear and hosiery. Pam and Sue also launched the Swimwear Yearbook – the fashion bible for swimwear stockists – in 2000 and the Stars Best Shop Awards, the only independent recognition of excellence for intimate apparel, swimwear and legwear, in 2007.

Jane writes the bi-annual MODA trade show preview for Underlines alongside her work for specialist men’s underwear website Deadgoodundies.com. Coincidentally Jane’s 25th anniversary as a freelance was in February this year.

Celebrations for the birthday won’t stop with the champagne, though, as the magazine will reveal an exciting redesign in August.
